Time to buy a tree

The weather is supposed to turn cooler and rainy here in the next couple days. I decided this might be the best time to get out to enjoy the sunshine and check out a nursery in the new neighborhood.

The trees here at this nursery are showing some fine fall foliage.

Now is the time to buy a tree. During the leaf change is the perfect opportunity to find the color you want in your landscape. Whether it is the purples of the crepe myrtles or the golden reds of the oaks, you must see them in action to know exactly what you get in the future. Go out and find the one with the colors you like and take it home.

Look, Sweetie! It is the same little planter we saw at Arts Goggle. Looks like this is where the little scenery planters are sold.

I was at The Natural Gardener today and saw a gorgeous weeping yaupon. I wanted it soooo badly!

I brought 2 Chinese Fringe Flower plants home yesterday. One is cream to green in bloom and the other is plum/pink. I am keeping them in pots for now. Thanks again for showing us these beautiful plants.

NSARH - I love the Natural Gardener! They have the right plants there.

CSR - I have not seen the cream variety. Post photos next spring!

My nurseryman is installing 1200 trees this week at one business. It is a great time for the trees and for the wallet. The trees are marked down because above ground trees need to be put in the ground again real soon, before the weather starts changing, at least in areas like mine where snow and freezing are in the offing. Good post.

We need to buy a tree and remove a tree that is growing way too fast to be so near the house.

The little scenery planter is adorable.
