Spring Guilt
The temps here lately have been in the 60's and 70's. We have had rain almost every week. This is May -- in Texas! My friends just 200 to 250 miles south have been sweating to the 90's for weeks now. I am freezing my buns off here in Fort Worth. I had to wear my hoodie all day yesterday at my seasonal nursery job. I am sorry. If I could ship this weather south to y'all I would do it in a second!
Went on the Historic Fort Worth Hidden Garden Tour today. This was the only garden where cameras were allowed. See the plantings on the wall? Those are rain gutters. Very clever.
Immediately, when stepping into this garden you are greeted by the TechnoBlue Lobelia that matches the bench perfectly.
The end of Spring, the wrapping of the daffodil leaves. Beautiful way to keep them tidy as they recharge the bulbs for next spring's bloom.
The mimosas are blooming all over the Fort Worth area. A sign that summer has arrived, even if the thermometer here does not agree. Brrrr.
