Moving Along (The Final Chapter)

The point of my "moving along" story is several fold. Show the progress of the hidden loft garden, finish off the Adventures of TufaGirl and move along to the the next project: FWDirt.

The Adventures of Tufa Girl blog was created to keep in touch with my sweetie as he moved to FW to get the perfect job. (The manufacturing industry is a tough place to stay employed these days. Buy USA.) Now we have the house fixed and sold, moved and moved, and finally settled into the perfect place. Opportunities are developing for me via this new venue and I find it is time to make the jump.

FWDirt started as the blog for the loft garden's transformation. A slow to warm start and then record heat found me looking into gardening projects in the big city. FWDirt will be a little less personal, I won't be able to rant, I am certain I will have to be politically correct. (I will say I have already managed to tick off a few of my neighbors with my humor. Read: Briquettes and the Urban Garden. Also per the nasty email - my neighbors think they are being watched to show up as fodder for my blog. Hmmm, that's a thought. Read: The Kiddie Pool Caper) Bets on how long this venture lasts?

My focus for now will be to develop this new to me city gardening adventure. (How does one garden in the city with no footprint to call their own?) I wanted to end the TufaGirl postings but my sweetie disagrees as he says I need an "outlet". So Adventures of TufaGirl will only remain for the postings I can not share with my neighbors like "The Kiddie Pool Caper". Perhaps a small (TG) in the corner of a FWDirt posting to let y'all know there is more to the story...

There are no words to tell you all how much I have enjoyed your blogs and how much your encouragement, comments have meant to me. I will continue visiting you all but sometimes I might be wearing my new hat (FWDirt). I hope you make the jump to FWDirt (or at least visit) and by all means hold nothing back in your comments. I really want to know what folks think of this new trend of urban gardening. There is so much for me to learn.

What a great idea for a new blog. I'm sure there are many people out there looking for a green space but without a private spot of their own. This will be really interesting to see what you come up with. Count me in!

All this time I just thought you lived in an apt with REALLY high ceilings!! I think the idea of urban gardening is way overdue. I'll be checking out the new blog!! :O)

Tufa Girl - I think this new venture is excellent. Right off the bat, the cover page is a big 'hook' to reel in your readers. You have the moxie and creativity to make this special. I'm adding "FW Dirt" to my blog roll for readers to find you (and keeping the link to "The Adventures of Tufa Girl" - for sentimental reasons, in case you feel the need to rant). :D

Be awesome!!

Good luck in your new venture. Urban gardening is catching on, and I think you'll gain a very loyal following.
