Got some slow soaking in kind of rain here in North Texas last evening. It must have rained for over 4 hours. I wish I had a rain guage for such an event. The bird bath is overflowing.
More for the folks further South? Thank you for such a great evening.

That's just wonderful! We have long 'dry' seasons here and we experience drought in ten-year or so cycles, and the first time I smell rain after a long dry period is just heavenly!

Oh, my gosh! I had heard it rained there. But, I'm so glad you got pictures because otherwise I'm not sure I would have believed it! Four hours!!!!!! Wahoo! Congratulations! Not a drop here, but still hoping some will come this way in the next day or two.

how great that it was a good long rain too. it will take a lot I suspect to really get the ground far down.

Oh, lucky you! My daughter headed back to school last night and had to get through Dallas. I checked radar and the storm looked wicked...hope you guys didn't get anything too severe. Nothing here...yet...it's got to come sooner or later.
I prayed for Texas again at dinner tonight!!! Hooray for you!!! I'm so happy!! :o)
