Random Updates and a note to Morning Glory

This rain lily is seriously confused.

I have not sat down long enough to do anything with any photo editing software but to download Gimp. Any software purchases will have to wait until after the Great Northern Adventure (in less than 2 weeks!). Thank you for all your input. Y'all have definitely helped me figure out which way to go.

Potato vine update - for my Mother-in-Law - if she is watching...

Can't really see the tender vine at the top so I have embellished it with orange.

Morning Glory, your daughter has received several well wishes due to your comment on my posting yesterday. Your comment also reminded me to include this link for Hero Bracelets. Much like the POW bracelet I wore back in the 70's (yes, I'm that old) but now are for remembering the deployed. I have one I wear for my husband's nephew and I had one made for his grandmother.

Again, my thoughts and prayers for you and your daughter.

Also, there are lots of add-on's for GIMP including brushes and scripts. I find a lot of them on DeviantArt, but I'm sure there are other resources. The major tools you'll need to learn right away are rectangle tool/cropping, resizing, and levels/curves. You can pick up the rest as you go. And if you want fun projects, check out some of the tutorials on Worth100. A lot of them are geared for Photoshop, but there are GIMP equivalents.

My rain lilies are also confused. I'm not sure what's going on, but they've decided to bloom as well. And a vine growing like that in an apartment is pretty darn cool!!

Thanks to all for the well-wishes; I'll be sure to pass them along to Jean. I'm very proud of her, but I will worry until I know she's home safe and sound.

I should learn how to do some photo editing, so I'll wait patiently for tutorials here, Tufa Girl. Your rain lily is yet another flower I have never seen, one of the wonders of blogging is seeing plants I never knew existed.

That is one determined vine, wow, talk about stretching for the light.

MorningGlory, we'll all be thinking and praying for Jean's safe return.

And...P.S. Mother-in-law's are always watching, lol.
