My sweetie was up on the roof taking photos Saturday night of the storms that rolled by us here in Fort Worth. Finally, we got some great rain and nitrogen infused lightening early this morning. (Sorry, no photos of that... my sweetie slept through the whole thing.)
I say we finally got some rain but it has only been since May 24th that we received our last downpour (complete with hail). A few non-stop 100 degree days makes you forget. I know it has been months since my friends in South Texas have seen any measurable rain.
Nothing to show in the loft gardens these days but sad sun-torched plantings. Hope these new transplants can make it through to September.
I hope you are enjoying excellent weather.

We are looking at our 1st really hot days Wed and Thurs this week. Things will dry out fast. No rain likely here until fall now. Hot, dry and high fire danger. Welcome summer. Glad you got a little rain. Have a good day.
Summer doesn't want to arrive here in Wisconsin. It must be scared or something, it's 59 degrees this morning with a lovely spitting rain which is forecast off and on until the weekend. I sure wish I could share the rain with places who really need it, we're just water-logged and squishy here.
I hope you get some nice gentle soaking rains soon. The pictures of the storms are amazing with the backdrop of buildings.
Unfortunately we're enjoying thunderstorms instead of nice weather. But at least the cats enjoy drinking out of puddles, so someone's happy?!
Really great photo!!! We've had rain again and a slight cool down so I've been out working like a banshee to get as much done as possible before the heat arrives again :)
Hoping to be on the southern edge of the storms along the cold front this evening...glad someone is getting some rain.
Rain and thunderstorms here too. But you need it much more than we do. Your sweetie did a fine job of capturing the incoming.
Hi, Tufa!
Glad to hear you got some rain. I can't believe all the wildfires in TX this year so any bit of moisture would have to help. Keep cool.
