"What Happened to My Table?"

... says Shadow, amongst the new plant purchases.

Plant shopping on Saturday, Spring fever has hit. When we get it all home, my sweetie announces "I saw on Accuweather (his phone app) it is supposed to be 39 degrees tonight."

"What?!?! All this has to come inside!"

"This stuff will be o.k. outside," he says.

"Do you want to go through that again?" So we haul it all inside. I throw a light sheet over the little pots of annual posies I have planted and left outside to weather whatever. Only got to 45 (thank goodness) but better safe than sorry at this point.

They will all be so happy when they finally get to move to their permanent home. I hardly have a windowsill that isn't covered with baby plants waiting for the real spring to arrive. ♥♥♥♥♥

It just takes such commitment to be a gardener and it is sometimes hard for our better halves to understand. Thanks goodness they tolerate our craziness! It is funny how cold it feels after acclimating to the warm weather we've been having.

Oh, I see a nice collection of plants there. It is getting below freezing tonight. But I have not been plant shopping, yet.

Here, just north of Toronto, Ontario it has been below freezing in the mid-afternoon & Antarctic at night. You are lucky in the South.
I think your table looks like a tropical paradise aka heaven.

I was looking for Shadow, then saw those bright eyes. Your plants look good on the table and Shadow seems to like the hiding place.

Well, you will enjoy them in the house for awhile. We finally got sun today after a couple of weeks of rain, rain and occasional snow. I'm going to the nursury tomorrow. I'll probably be just like you.

It's gloomy here too! Thankfully no threat of temps dropping below 50F by my reckoning till November-ish. Glad it only got down to 45F there!
