Photo Hunt: Spirals

I bought this begonia from the San Antonio Begonia Society booth at the Festival of Flowers event last May. It is still alive and full of these lovely spiral leaves. If someone knows the type please let me know.

The spiral of the Orchid vine (Bauhinia corymbosa). Currently sequestered on my back patio as I fear I will lose it to the chill in my drafty greenhouse. Took it out to see the sun today and take her tendril's photo for Photo Hunt: Spirals.

I seem to be attracted to photo memes these days. I may be avoiding something....

That orchid vine, is that like the orchid tree, bauhinia? We call it 'pata de vaca'around here because of the rounded leaves. They come in purple, pink, or white?

You must have quite a nice colleciton of begonias. That one is so mystical looking.

Yaya, I seem to be collecting different types of orchids. I have a white one from Brazil (used for diabetes?), orange called "African", seeds from trees in San Antonio (hopefully white and purple) and then this vine. All bauhinia species.

The begonias are something I seem to keep alive for a couple years at a time. Just a couple - not much of a collection.
