Chinese Button Bush

Adina rubella (Rubiaceae family) Dave's Garden says it gets 3-8 high, mine is about 12 feet tall by 10 feet wide. I have not ever trimmed it back although I think this would make it a bit more "bushy".

My sweetie (husband) likes to change the names of things and calls it "the button brush".

I have it planted on the north side of the house where it gets minimal sun.

Thank you so much for changing the comment box. I don't know why it is that the other one never works for me.

I had meant to say that I think that button bush plant is beautiful! I love plants like that which are unusual and different than most plants you usually see in landscapes. Thank you for sharing pictures! Real eye candy!

I have quite the eclectic garden. This blog will be a great way to keep up with all the plants I have collected.
