In case you read my earlier posting, Pay 15 Cents for the Christmas Tree's Image?, I wanted to give you the latest.... (sorry about the ad - I need to learn how to read html and fix these things...)
Yes, it would be GREAT if they would delay a bunch of other taxes, but I guess I'd better not hold my breath, right? Blue doesn't look that good on me.
I don't mind paying a tiny tax if I know the money will be well used. But when does the govt ever use money well? Our tree is in a box in the basement so they won't be getting my 15 cents. But the whole idea that the Christmas tree needs an image makeover is idiotic!!!
How exactly does charging more money for a Christmas tree promote the idea that you should go out and buy one? Isn't it more of a deterrent? as hubby always tells me, there you go with that logic again, you know it doesn't apply to government....

I guess they decided the timing was not right. If they pass it in spring, they won't get as much attention.
HolleyGarden is right...wait until it is a non-issue then tax them/us!
