Dallas Blooms

Luckily for us, the opening of Dallas Blooms at the Dallas Arboretum this last Saturday started out cool and windy. Not ones to rush out for opening day, we knew it might be a few days before the blooms recovered from the projected freeze Saturday night and we figured there would be very few folk venturing out on such a cool day. (FYI - Dallas Blooms runs through April 10th.)

I am no technology wizard when it comes to mixing music and such so here is a short silent movie I created from the mountain of photos I took during our walk. Hum a little tune for the next 2 minutes. Hope you enjoy it.

So lovely, I was humming away. Spring is full on in Dallas.

I loved the little tadpoles in the pool... too cute.

Now I must go back to shoveling snow. :)

Shyrlene - don't tell anyone... I took over 350 photos.

LH - There were some Texas size spitting toads there, too.

Kate, I don't feel so bad for you as I know you have some excellent Italian memories to keep you warm.

LVL, you are now in charge of my music selections!

Cat, thousands and thousands of bulbs. There are some that are just now popping up so the show will be spectacular through April.

I especially loved the tulips just coming out of their leaves and the ripe daffodils! But, you just can't beat a few good bluebonnets, eh? Thanks for sharing!
