They have been around for decades. They used to be free at the full service gas stations. (Have I dated myself?) They are made of paper, fold up for easy storage - it is a road map!
This company will be happy to sell you one and send it to you.
My sweetie proudly tells his co-workers his GPS is "my sweetie and her map".
Once a week at work I hear a customer complain about the rough road they took to get to our street. I immediately know they have never been here before and they used their GPS instead of the directions we gave them.
If I have to hear one more story about someone lost with their new GPS system on a snowy road...

I was with you until you got to the "easy to fold part", then we parted ways.
You can also get a free map at the Texas Tourist Bureau. I don't like GPS units, I think they're distracting to drivers. My Sweetie loves his, although he rarely uses it. Oh wait, you do mean the Tom Toms, right? Or the other kind of GPS (field)?
I just got a cell phone! A GPS is beyond me! I just know where I am at all times! LOL! Happy New Year to you and your sweetie!
