Sweetie, I went out to check the mail and I find a package!
LemonVerbenaLady has sent me a surprise. (She is the one I had told about the hibiscus tea I make for the Yard Art festival and had sent her some of the flowers I get at HEB.)
I have been watching her harvest herbs from her garden and make these incredibly beautiful vinegars and jellies. She tolerates my questions. I wish I had the time but mostly I wish I had her garden of herbs. I think the cutter ants would leave them alone.
Now that it is so much cooler and I can stand having the oven on I will have to get baking. Some scones for the Rose Geranium jelly and Rosemary Garlic would be great with the Thanksgiving relish tray.
Then as I read her post today, she has given me a Friends Award!
Oh, my! Nancy, you are so sweet. Thank you so much.
Details......
It must be the rule of the Friendship Award to give it to bloggers who are having busy times in their lives!
The rules of this award-
This award is bestowed on to blogs that are exceedingly charming.
These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.
They are not interested in self-aggrandizement.
Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated.
Please give more attention to these writers.
Deliver this award to six bloggers who must choose six more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award.
So I needed to think of six blogs that fit the rules. I hope anyone stopping by will visit their blogs and see yet another part of this great blogging world from their eyes.
I would have to return the award to LemonVerbenaLady as she has taught me and others so much about herbs and their uses.
YayaOrchid who was one of my very first followers on my work blog. Aside from time with her family, Yaya has just recently opened her own Etsy shop.
Along Life's Highway has become an obsession. Daily life and then the time and imagination to take on scoring of yard art photos submitted by the masses. She is getting quite the following.
Rosey Pollen now has a new blog showing great photos of her kiddos and the things that go with each day in their lifes.
Mary Delle has some great photos on both of her blogs: Secret Cottage Garden and Jockos Plot. I have not traveled the world but as I have not been in one spot for long I appreciate her search.
Charlotte of The Galloping Gardener with photos of gardens a girl can only dream of visiting one day has taken on yet another adventure in life.
It would be my pleasure if you accept my award to you.
I read many blogs and I know I do not comment as much as one should to reciprocate in this whole blogging process. Sometimes I think of the blog as a diary, a place to share without the need to be accepted. A little voyeuristic? I hope not. Just a little escape to each corner of the world and enjoying you all so very much.
