So that's why even my heat-loving xeric plants are wilting!
I managed to finish the watering this morning before being driven back inside where I contemplate the life of my great-grandparents raising eleven children on a ranch in south Texas with no air conditioning.
What a difference shade makes! Only a couple more weeks, hopefully, and things will start cooling down. I am always amazed that plants can live through the extremes that they do.
I`m with Shirley. I was 16 before I lived in air conditioning. There were two things I promised myself as a kid when I grew up; A/C and all the candy I wanted. I reached my life goals . LOL
Good gracious it's hot there. How a person (or plant) can survive a summer there is beyond me. But then I'm one of those chilly Canadians, cold is in our genes!

Too hot for me! I'm always amazed that plants can survive Texas summers. It's a good place to be a cactus. :o)
